OK, I promised the last one would be easy. All you have to do for this WebQuest is prove you can (1) search the internet for a topic, (2) choose the best sources of information for the topic and (3) document your sources. Then you'll be done!
Mission 1: Choose one of the topics listed below. Write it down. Then list some keywords that you might use to search for information about the topic.
Use Yahooligans, Yahoo, Google, and/or the Open Directory to search for your topic. List the addresses (URLs) of 4 websites that you think have good information about your topic.
Topic list:
| Bengal tigers | Water pollution | Space flight |
| Mexico | Ancient Egypt | Skydiving |
| Hurricanes | Salvador Dali | Diamond mining |
Mission 2: Using the information you find, write 5 to 10 sentences about your topic.
Mission 3: Beneath the sentences, document your sources. If you need help, refer to the homework paper given out in class ("Citing a Web Resource.")
Congratulations! You're done!
Want extra credit?? Here's how to get it: go back through the pages of these WebQuests and look for spelling mistakes, typos, and links that don't work. Write down the exact location of each one (address, mission, sentence it's in etc.) I'm offering 1 extra point for each legitimate mistake you can find. Good luck!
