What makes a person who they are? Is it what they do? What they feel? What they believe? What they know?
Who are you?
In this WebQuest, you will use resources on the Internet to learn a little about yourself. Each of them is a specific way that humans have invented to explore who they are. Some are serious, and some are silly! As you go though each mission, think: does this affect who I am? What does this say about me?
You will go on several missions to different websites that may reveal things about yourself that you never knew before. As you perform each mission, record your discoveries on your worksheet.
Mission 1: This is a simple version of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. It's an extremely popular test. Make sure you write down your "type" at the end! Read the directions carefully! (And ask your teachers what their 'type' is... Most of the teachers at this school have taken this test.)
Mission 2: There are all kinds of interesting ways to think about your personality. Take this quick and easy test. Record (copy) the results. Do you agree with them? What do you think of this way of testing someone's personality?
Mission 3: Are you left-handed or right-handed? Did you know that people can also be left-brained or right-brained? See, your brain is divided into two halves. One half is responsible for some things, and the other half is responsible for other things. Scientists have found that some people use their left side more, and others their right side. Take this simple test to see which side dominates your way of thinking! Important: Try not to think too much about each question. Just read it and choose the first answer that seems right. Record your results.
Mission 4: How do you learn? Everyone learns in different ways. Here is a quiz that may help you understand how you learn. Important: When taking this test, answer the questions as if you are the "child."
Mission 5: What's your sign? Of course, horoscopes are just for fun, but check out yours anyway. Does it seem to match your personality?
Mission 6: The people of China have a different kind of horoscope system. Find out about your Chinese sign. (You can also look here.) Do you think you have anything in common with the famous people born under your sign?
Mission 7: What's in a name? You're about to find out. Go to this site and find out the origin and meaning of your name. Does it seem to fit your personality?
Mission 8: Here are some more fun tests.
