Parish Mission Statement

The mission of Saint Joseph's Parish under the influence of the Holy Spirit, is to be instumental in nourishing and fulfilling the spiritual needs of the parish family through the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church. Thereby, the members of Saint Joseph's Parish are empowered to reach out in service to the broader community.

Spiritual needs comprise many elements and aspects. Saint Joseph's Parish will endeavor to meet these needs in five ways:

  • celebration of the liturgy and sacraments, recognizing that liturgical celebrations are the most essential ingredient in faith development of the parish family;

  • provision of educational services, including religious education, adult education and collaboration in the cluster elementary school,

  • offering special services to enrich the lives of parishioners, including retreats, individual counseling, and encounter weekends;

  • coordination and facilitation of activities to nourish and strengthen the parish family, including open houses, receptions, celebration, and the Harvest Fair; and

  • service to the larger community, including soup kitchens, crop walk, Project Feed, and other commuinity action programs
